General Information:
Guests with special dietary requirements are advised to warn us well in advance of your departure.

For (flight) information on how to get to the starting point of your safari, contact our reservations office or your travel agent. It is not the responsibility of Wild Times Ltd., the airline, or any agents to reconfirm flights. The passenger must do this in a timely fashion.

Luggage:
Please keep your luggage light – soft duffel bags are preferable. Luggage is limited to 15 kg per person inclusive of carry on luggage on many small airlines on internal flights.

Passports, Visas and Medical documents:
It’s upon the client to ensure that passports and visas are valid for the countries listed. The company, its staff and its agents cannot be held liable for any visas etc. not held by the clients.

Photography:
The company reserves the right without further notice to make use of any photography or film taken on

Bookings Procedures – Terms & Conditions

How to Book:

Sign and send the booking form and send a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the safari.  On receipt of your deposit, we will, subject to availability, reserve your place on your selected safari.  Receipt of the signed bookings form constitutes acceptance of our Terms and Conditions.

Final Payment:

Final payment is due to Wild Times not later than 75 days prior to departure.  Those items included in the invoice are listed on the quotation.

Cancellation:

  1. Cancelation by the traveler

Cancellation of the travel agreement by the traveler must be done in writing or by email. The date of receipt by Wild Times is the notification date of the cancellation.

 

The following costs will be charged if the trip is canceled:

 

  1. Up to 90 days before departure: 30% of the travel sum, or the minimum deposit paid
  2. 90 – 60 days before departure: 75% of the travel sum
  3. 60 – 7 days before departure: 90% of the travel sum
  4. 7 days before departure: 100% of the travel sum

 

Different cancellation conditions apply to international and local flights; generally 100% after ticketing

For gorilla permits and other permits payable in advance, different cancellation conditions apply; 100% immediately after booking.

In certain cases, the tour operator reserves the right to deviate from the above regulations.

Refunds:

Whilst the company uses its best endeavors to ensure that all anticipated accommodation is available as planned, there shall be no claim of any nature whatsoever against the company for a refund either in whole or part, if any accommodation or excursion is unavailable, or the passenger was unable to use this service.

Insurance:

You must take out comprehensive insurance cover before travel for cancellation, medical expenses, personal baggage and money.  You will not be accepted on a tour unless you have arranged insurance.  This should be arranged at the time of payment of the deposit to cover cancellation from that time. Clients traveling to Tanzania need proof of yellow fever vaccination – so should bring the relevant medical document.

Photography:

The company reserves the right without further notice to make use of any photography or film taken on safari by our staff for general purposes without payment or permission.

Changes to Schedules:

Although every effort is made to adhere to schedules it should be borne in mind that the Company reserves the right, and in fact is obliged, to occasionally change routes and camps on safaris as dictated by changing conditions.  Such conditions may be brought about by seasonal rainfall on bush tracks, airfields and in game areas, by game migrations from one region to another or reservation problems, etc.

Airline Clause:

The airlines concerned are not to be held liable for any act, omission or event during the time the passengers are not on board their planes or conveyance.  The passengers’ tickets in use by the airline or by other carriers concerned when issued, shall constitute a sole contract between the airlines and the purchaser of these tickets and / or passengers.  Please note that the company subcontracts the flying services to independent charter operations, and they are responsible for the flying.  We cannot be held liable for any delays due to airlines not running to schedule etc.

Prices:

Prices on our website are stated in USD or local currency, whereas € prices are given for easy reference. Final payement is due in the foreign currency stated first in your quotation. Only after approval by our main office, payment is possible in € or another currency and only at the exchange rate given by us.

We will do our utmost to keep to the price published/offered.  Should airlines, exchange rates, etc, force increases on us, we reserve the right to surcharge without notice, up to maximum of 10% of the fare.

Guide Substitution:

If one of our guides is unable to take a safari due to illness or other reasons, we reserve the right to substitute with another guide.

Fitness:

The client acknowledges that the safari can sometimes be demanding and it is her/his responsibility to ensure that she/he is sufficiently fit and able to embark on the tour.

Authority of the Safari Leader:

Clients will accept the authority and decisions of the safari leader/camp manager appointed by the Company.  Clients will be required to sign a Conditions and Waiver form by the Company prior to their safari departure.

Guarantee

All the travel companies in Holland are legally obliged to offer their customers the guarantee that they will be paid back their paid money in case the tour company gets in financial insolvency. Wild Times is participant in Society called – GGTO. In order to build the fund we charge our customers € 15 to € 60 (depending on amount payable), which goes to the GGTO. www.stichting-ggto.nl.

Disclaimer

This agreement is made subject to and shall be governed and constructed according to the laws of the country in which the safari took place.

We believe brochure and web site tariffs are correct at the time of printing.  We cannot be held responsible for any changes or inaccuracies that may occur after publishing. Neither Wild Times Limited, nor any person acting for, through or on behalf of the company shall be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever and without restricting the generality of the foregoing shall particularly not be responsible for loss or damage arising from any errors or omission contained in the brochure or other literature, late or non-confirmation or acceptance of bookings, loss or damage caused by delays, sickness, injury or death whether occasioned by negligence or not. In addition, the company shall have the right at any time at its discretion to cancel any tour or the remainder thereof or make any alteration in route, accommodation, price or other detail and in the event of any tour being rendered impossible, illegal, or inadvisable by the weather, avalanches, strike, war, government or interference or any other causes whatsoever.  The extra expense incurred as a result thereof shall be the responsibility of the passenger. The company may, at its discretion and without liability or cost to itself, at any time cancel or terminate the passenger’s booking and in particular without limiting the generality of the foregoing, it shall be entitled to do so in the event of the illness or the illegal or incompatible behavior of the passenger, who shall in such circumstances not be entitled to any refund

The person making the booking will, by the making of such booking, warrant that he or she has authority to enter into a contract on behalf of the other person included in such a booking and in the event of the failure of any or all of the other persons so included to make payment the person making the booking shall by his / her signature thereof assume personal liability for the total price of all bookings made by him / her.

Please be aware that going on an adventurous holiday such as a safari may take you into close contact with wild animals.  Attacks by wild animals are rare, but no safari into the African Wilderness can guarantee that this will not occur.  Neither the company, nor its employees, nor its agents can be held responsible for any injury or incident on the safari.
