In almost all safari countries, you travel along with a private driver and guide. South Africa and Namibia, however, are ideally suited to do a self drive safari. Your safari itinerary will of course be mapped out and recorded completely, but you are driving and decide when you want to do what. The roads in these countries are generally good and special driving experience is not required.
In Kenya and Tanzania, it is unusual to drive yourself, so we offer this opportunity to the more experienced safari traveler who is looking for new dimension in his or her safari adventure. We passed by cows, shacks, through mud and hundreds of school children. We drove through the wonderful Drakensberg, right into the Battlefields of Kwazulu Natal and did game drives in the Kruger NP, were in awe at the stunning nature in the Panorama Route.
