Program & Routing:
Day 1 – Sabuk Lodge and camel safari – 3 Nights
Fly from local airport Wilson in Nairobi to Loisaba airstrip where the Samburu team will welcome you. Once at Sabuk enjoy lunch with views over the Ewaso Nyiro river and the valley across. From this unique spot you will go on bush walks, depending from several hours to several days! Your luggage will be carried by camels.
The northern part of Laikipia is the homebase of thousands of elephants, kudu and the endangered wild dogs. Laikipia is an awesome spot to discover on foot, while the game is always around. Samburu will be there for your safety and interesting conversation.
Some activities: bush breakfasts, camel safaris, piknics, safari, stargazing, fishing, and sharing your experiences of course with Laikipia Maasai.
Day 4 – Masai Mara – Serian Camp
Early morning flight to Masai Mara, where you will be welcomed by members of the Serian Camp team. This is a very special place where you will see endless wildlife! Enjoy these three nights at one of the most special places on earth.
Day 7 – Malindi – Delta Dunes
After breakfast fly to Malindi, via local airport Wilson. On arrival met by the team of Delta Dunes. Transfer to camp.
This is the only existing wetland of its sort in East Africa. Discover this unique area with special bird species, stunning dune landscape and pristine beaches. You will be able to see countless amounts of hippos and crocodiles and the endemic Tana River bushbok.
Many activities can be done here, such as fishing, kayaking, blowcarting, bird spotting, beach walks or just chilling near the pool of the lodge. Delta Dunes also has an excellent kitchen.
Morning are particulary good for swimming or a river cruise, followed by a walk through the dunes, where kids can go spoor hunting.
Day 11 – departure
After four nights in the Delta it is time to drive back to Malindi. This small Swahili town is known for being on of the better places to shop in Kenya, has colorful markets and old buildings. After lunch transfer to the local airport and fly back to Nairobi.
