Program & Routing:
Day 1 – Tsavo West National Park, Kipalo Camp 2 nights
On arrival in Nairobi you will transfer to the domestic airport Wilson Airport to Tsavo National Park, where you will enjoy your first game drive immediately after arrival! After check in and lunch at Kipalo Camp on the private conservancy of Mbulia.
From Kipalo you have direct access to Tsavo West and easy access to Tsavo East for game drives. Tsavo has prolific birdlife. Since Kipalo is situated in a private conservancy, you will be able to do walking safaris in the African bush, this is not allowed in the National Park. You can enjoy sundowners, bush breakfasts, picnics and cultural visits to local Taita villages.
Day 3 – Masai Mara, Nkorombo Mobile Camp 3 nights
After a splendid time in Tsavo, a flight is planned to Musiara airstrip in the Masai Mara. The Serian team awaits to receive you and off you go on your first game drive in the Mara.
During your stay at Nkorombo you will get the feeling to be included in the wildlife documentary amidst lions, zebra and buffalo. There is game in abudance. Also the birdlife here is prolific again, not just endemic birds, but migratory birds you will be able to see here too, depending on season of course. There are more than 450 registered species, of which 57 species of birds of prey. The climate is soft and seldom too hot.
The camp offers exclusive use of her vehicles so that you can enjoy a private game drive. Next to that they will organise helicopter rides, fly-camping and balloon safaris.
Day 6 – Malindi, Delta Dunes 3 nights
Fly from Musiara to Malindi today, where yet again a team will be waiting for you to take you on a 2,5 hour boat trip to Delta Dunes.
This is the only kind of wetlands in East Afrikc. Discover this nature wonder with all its beautiful birds, waterlife, stunning landscapes and beaches and store your memories for ever. Large concentrations of hippo and crocodiles can be found in this area, as well as the endemic Tana Bushbok. You may spot buffalo and lions whille doing a safari on foot.
There are many activities for both adults and children. You can chose whatever you like to do. Whether it is fishing, surfing, birding, kayaking, or simply relax at the lodge’s pool. Enjoy the excellent food too!
Mornings are excellent for swimming in the sea or doing a river cruise, followed by a walking safari through the dunes where children can spot the spoor on the ground and guess what animal has passed here during the night.
Day 9 – Departure
After three days at the Delta Dunes, you will be transfered to Malindi, sunkissed and relaxed, and do a bit of shopping in town. After lunch you will fly to Wilson airport again and be transfered to the International Airport for your flight back home.
