Most wonderful family safari
Some people told us that you would get bored if you did more than a week of safari. We did four safaris in three weeks and have not been bored or tired of it even for one minute! Thanks to a very well-balanced and well-organised programme that gave us a chance to see very different parts of Kenya, different animals, different tribes, different lodges and (admittedly very luxurious) tents. Picnics by a river where elephants were having a bath. Night- safaris where you see hundreds of little eyes lighting up..looking at you. A walk up a mountain (well..ok: a hill) to enjoy a view that has been untouched by the last centuries. Visits to small villages where the small children started crying (never seen a white person!) or wanted to touch your skin and the elders proudly showed their homes and cattle. But also lunch by the swimming pool or sundowners by the fire and relaxed dinners of high standards, the kids sometimes being carried to their beds by beautiful Samburu warriors because they fell asleep after dessert. A wonderful experience that neither we nor the kids will ever forget.
