Dit park staat bekend om zijn grote kudden olifanten en het is een waar vogelparadijs. Mikumi Park is de nachtelijke tussenstop voordat u naar Ruaha Nationaal Park rijdt om de rijtijd te verkleinen, maar verdient zeker ook een safari omdat het enkele minder voorkomende antilope soorten herbergt, die zeer zeker de moeite waard zijn. U gaat hier dus ook een volle dag op zoek naar deze bijzondere dieren voor Tanzania, na Ruaha Nationaal Park. Het is ongeveer 5 uur rijden. Na aankomst een bootsafari op de Rufiji Rivier. De rivier huist nijlpaarden en krokodillen. Diner &amp; overnachting.<\/p>\n<p>Het programma van de komende dagen kan vari\u00ebren van een walking safari tot een volle dag met de auto op zoek naar wild. De rit duurt ongeveer 8 uur, dit is inclusief stops in lokale dorpjes.\u00a0Mikumi wordt gedomineerd door heuvels en savannes, alsook bossen. U heeft vandaag een rit van ca. 8 uur voor de boeg. U zult zich echter niet vervelen, het landschap is bergachtig en bied ook uitzicht op de Ruaha rivier. U zult ook weer lokale dorpjes bezoeken en een souvenirstop bij Neema Craft maken. Dit is een klein maar bijzonder Nationaal Park met Sabel Antilopen, Koedoes en Elanden, antilope soorten die je niet snel ergens anders in Tanzania zult zien.
