Maybe the most impressive item that the River Nile has to overcome during its long road from Lake Victoria to the Mediterranean See, are these falls. The longest river in the world, cascades down into the river over just 6 meters wide with roaring noise. The 3860 square meter park is named after the falls, which in return is named after the Scotsman Roderick Murchison, founder of the Royal Geographical Society. The park is also called Kabalega Falls National Park. During the regime of Idi Amin, the parks were renamed into their African names.
