	Khao Yai National Park Khao Yai National Park’s forests are teeming with wildlife and birds, making it a spectacular destination in Thailand. Look up and down and from side, tread softly, and listen carefully to discover the real inhabitants of the forest. Gibbons provide an excellent morning wake-up call with their mournful hoots. Quiet, patient walkers may catch a glimpse of these treeliving apes. Macaques are often seen on the roadsides.
	Khao Sok Khao Sok National Park in Southern Thailand is an amazing place. It is perfectly situated on the mainland between Phuket, Krabi, Khao Lak and Koh Samui; the most popular destinations in southern Thailand. Elephant trekking, trekking on foot, canoeing and jeep safaris are all possible activities which will give you the experience of a lifetime. One of the most interesting areas is stunningly beautiful Cheow Larn Lake in the heart of the National Park with its floating raft houses and luxury tents.
	Chiang Mai Chang Mai, Thailand’s second-largest city and the gateway to the country’s north, was founded in 1296. You can still see the moat that encircled the original city, and there are 300 wats, including Wat Chiang Man (home of the 1800-year-old 10cm-high Crystal Buddha), Wat Phra Singh (built in the classic northern-Thai style) and Wat Chedi Luang (partially ruined by earthquake, cannon fire and recent restoration efforts).
	Bangkok Bangkok is an amazing city with quite a few redeeming factors. For a city of this size, Bangkok is surprisingly full of quiet escapes. Just step out of the street noise and into the calm of one of the city’s 400 wats (temple-monasteries) or take a river taxi on the Chao Phraya River. It is one of the safest capital cities of any Asian country, a trait, which is in line with the rest of the Thailand.

Best time to travel

The Thailand climate is controlled by tropical monsoons and the weather in Thailand is generally hot and humid across most of the country throughout most of the year. While Thailand’s seasons are generally divided into the hot season, cool season, and rainy season, in reality it’s relatively hot most of the year. The weather in central, northern, and north eastern Thailand (the landlocked provinces) is determined by three seasons, whereas the southern, coastal regions of Thailand feature only two, making the weather in Thailand quite easy to understand and plan a trip around in Thailand’s inland provinces the seasons are clearly defined: Between November and May the weather is mostly dry and the cool season and hot season occur from November to February and March to May respectively. The other inland season, the rainy season, lasts from May to November and is dominated by the southwest monsoon, during which time rainfall in most of Thailand is at its heaviest. The southern, coastal region of Thailand really has only two seasons – rainy season and dry season. Fortunately, for those planning a beach holiday, Thailand’s two coasts have slightly different rainy seasons, allowing visitors to find sunny beaches nearly year round. On the Andaman or west coast, where Phuket, Krabi, and the Phi Phi Islands lie, the southwest monsoon brings heavy storms from April to October, while on the Gulf of Thailand or east coast, where Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, and Koh Tao lie, the most rain falls between September and December.
