Highlights


	Kibale Forest National Park Kibale Forest is one of the most beautiful rain forests of East Africa. Thirteen different species of primates can be found here. Nowhere in Africa so many different species live together in just one forest. To mention a few: Redtailed monkey, black and white colobus, Blue monkey, Greycheeked Mangabay, red colobus and bushbabies. But chimpansees is what the world revolves around in this forest.
	Queen Elizabeth National Park The Queen Elizabeth National Park with its nearly 2000 square meters, borders in the North with the Rwenzori mountains and in the West with Lake Edward. Unfortunately many animals were decimated during the war with Tanzania, but numbers are growing and the area is very interesting and worthwhile to visit.
	Murchison Falls Murchison Falls is the largest Ugandan game park and the park is split in two by the river Nile. The landscape varies from thick rain forest to the hilly savannah areas in the Southwest that stretch out to the North. Murchison Falls is one of the greenest parks in Africa!
	Kampala Kampala is the vibrant capital of Uganda, and with its 1.2 million inhabitants, the largest city of the country and the economic heart of Uganda. The nightlife, the friendly people and the proximity to Lake Victoria make a visit to the city worth the effort. Your safari in Uganda starts and usually ends in Kampala or Entebbe.
	Entebbe Entebbe is a large town in Central Uganda. Located on a Lake Victoria peninsula, the town used to be the seat of government for the Protectorate of Uganda, prior to its Independence in 1962. Entebbe International Airport, is Uganda's largest commercial and military airport. Entebbe is also the location of State House, the official office and residence of the president of Uganda.
	Bwindi Impenetrable Forest This park is the area for trekking mountain gorillas. Trekking in Bwindi Forest Impenetrable guarantees an inspiring adventure. Je gaat met een ranger op pad en door dit te doen, ondersteun je de lokale bevolking. Bigodi Wetland is een paradijs voor vogelaars.

Best time to travel

The best game viewing months in Uganda are during the dry seasons from June to August and December to February. Primate walks in the forest are a big part of any safari in Uganda. The habitat of rainforests is, by default, very wet and one can’t avoid rain completely. However, after heavy rain, the skies often open up to bright sunshine.
