Large populations of oribi, waterbuck, warthog and sable antelope are found in the park, as well as large herds of elephants.  | Bazaruto Archipelago In the 1970s Bazaruto National Park was established to protect its marine area. Today it is the largest marine reserve in the Indian Ocean.
