Addis is the capital and houses almost four million inhabitants. It holds the status of city as well as that of state and is the seat of the African Union.
It is often called the political capital of Africa and is a vibrant city with both traditional as hip restaurants and bars, live music, bazaars, and lots of events. During the day you can visit interesting museums.
The National Museum gives an insight into the emperal period and anthropology. The 3,2 million year old skeleton of Lucy, one of the oldest humanoids is exhibited here. Then there is the Ethnological Museum and the Zoma Museum that was opened as well in 2019. The Zoma Museum houses African art, architecture and a large garden where visitors enjoy the greenery.
