Hoi An is a charming town on the coast in the central part of Vietnam.
Unlike many other places in Vietnam, the city remained virtually untouched during the Vietnam War. This is why the old town of Hoi An is still well preserved and it was listed in 1999 on the World Heritage List. The symbol of the city is the Japanese covered bridge built in 1590. Hoi An is renowned for its friendly atmosphere and there are lots of nice bars and restaurants to enjoy your time in Hoi An.
The surroundings of Hoi An are beautiful, and especially good for exploring by bicycle. A visit to Hoi An is considered the highlight of the trip through Vietnam by many of our travellers.
