Program & Routing:
Day 1 – Nairobi, Macushla House
On arrival in Nairobi, you will met by our representative and transfered to Macushla House.
Macushla House is a homy decorated lodge that combines rest and comfort with excellent facilities like a gym and a pool after your long flight. Prepare for the adventure that awaits!
Day 2 & 3 – Meru National Park, Elsa’s Kopje
After breakfast transfer to domestic airport for your flight to Meru National Park. You will be met at the airstrip and transfered to Elsa’s Kopje for check-in and lunch. In the afternoon it is time for a game drive or other activity as you wish after which you can enjoy dinner and overnight.
Meru National Park is one of the least visited of Kenyan National Parks which is one of the causes for it to have stayed authentic. Thick forests are mixed with in total 13 rivers and many river beds that lead up to the Tana river. Hundreds of bird species call Meru home, plus leopards, cheetah, elephants, lions, zebra and hippo.
Elsa’s Kopje luxury cottages offer stunning views and are decorated in authentic African style. Ther is an open bar, lounge and dining area with a beautiful pool with spectacular views on the wildlife spectacle in Meru.
Day 4-6: Masai Mara National Park, Karen Blixen Tented Camp
After breakfast transfer to the airstrip for your flight to the Masai Mara via Nairobi. On arrival you are met again by camp staff and transfered to the camp. Check in and lunch. In the afternoon enjoy a game drive in Kenya’s most famous National Park: the Masai Mara. After return to camp and enjoy dinner and overnight at camp.
Day 4-5: Enjoy game activities these days, all meals and overnight at Karen Blixen Camp.
Masai Mara National Park offers a unique variety in wild animals. This is maily caused by the fact that the Mara is moist and vertile and is crossed by the Mara and Talek river that both hold vast amounts of crocodile and hippo. The water attracts both plains game and predators, both requirements for stunnig wildlife with lots of interaction between the two.
Karen Blixen Tented Camp is an eco friendly luxury camp that will give you the authentic look and feel that adventurous people must have had when first discovering the area. Karen Blixen’s tents offer stunning views on the Mara river and are inspired by her own decorations way back, which makes for a friendly homy atmosphere. The pool offers relaxation in between game activities.
Day 7 – Zanzibar, Palace Hotel
After breakfast fly to Zanzibar via lunch at Eka Hotel in Nairobi. On arrival in Zanzibar, transfer to Stone Town for a night in this little town. Zanzibar Palace Hotel is an exclusive boutique hotel run by Dutch people that is situated in the heart of Stone Town, within walking distance of all the sights. Nonetheless it is quiet and the atmosphere is relaxing.
Day 8-12 – Zanzibar, Matemwe Lodge
Today transfer is foreseen to your beach accommodation: Matemwe Lodge where you will stay for the next five nights. You can play your day activities with the lodge.
Zanzibar and her sister islands Mafia and Pemba, are situated before the coast of Tanzania in the Indian Ocean. Long, white beaches, christal bays protected by coral reefs and literally miljons of palm trees sway in the exotic winds. If you are looking for a beach or cultural experience, this is the place to be.
The beautiful Matemwe Lodge lies on the northeast side of Zanzibar. Matemwe has only 12 bungalows with a private veranda that offers beautiful views on the Indian Ocean. The intimate restaurant specialises in seafood and is also known for its excellent vegetarian dishes. You can profoundly relax at Matemwe Lodge, at the pool that is consisting of several layers and the attached bar so that a nice refreshing drink is never far away. Enjoy a massage, go snorkling, dive, do a reef walk, go on a dhow excursion, visit Jozani Forest, Prizon Island and many more options. Or simply … relax!
Day 13 – Departure
Check out and transfer to the airport for your flight home.
