Program & Routing:
Day 1 – Nairobi, Fairview Hotel
On arrival at the International Airport you will be welcomed by a representative of Wild Times, followed by transfer the Fairview Hotel. Check in for overnight.
Day 2 – Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Sweetwater’s Tented Camp
After breakfast transfer to the Ol Pejeta nature reserve. First game drive in the afternoon. After this wildlife spectacle you will go back to camp for dinner and overnight.
Olpejeta Conservancy is a smaller park where you will have a good chance to see the Big Five. It is also the park in Kenya where you can black rhino; it has the biggest population of East Africa.
Next to rhino you can see white rhino, giraffe, zebras, eland, antilope, waterbuck, cheeta, jackal and baboons. Ol Pejeta is also known for having many species of birds. All in all Ol Pejeta is the park with the biggest variety in species in Kenya.
Day 3 – Olpejeta Conservancy, Sweetwater’s Tented Camp
Another day in Sweetwater’s Tented Camp and you will go on game drives in the morning and afternoon. In between you will have time to relax and enjoy camp. Enjoy the views on Mount Kenya!
Day 4 & 5 – Laikipia, Walking safari with Masai
After breakfast transfer to the area where your next adventure awaits. Go on a walking safari met Masai, with the help of camels.
This is truly magic! For a couple of days you will be in the bush and sleep (in comfortable tents) under the stars. Under the excellent guidance of Masai, you will learn more about nature, flora and fauna, the animals that you encountrer and the Masai way of life. A unique chance to get to know the Masai better!
Day 6, 7 en 8 – Masai Mara National Reserve
Again after breakfast transfer to the airstrip for your flight to the Masai Mara. On arrival you will be welcome by staff of the camp and transfer to camp follows.
Go on your first game drive in the Mara after lunch. It is teaming with animals here. You will get back to camp before dark and enjoy dinner and overnight.
The Masai Mara offers a unique set of animals. The banks of the rivers are covered with forest and these make way for savanna and grasslands. The abundance of water and divers grasses make excellent fodder for plains game and thus .. predators.
You will stay in a smallscale tented camp in the north of the Mara. This is a relatively quiet area that is considered to be one of the best spots to view game.
One of Africa’s most spectacular events is of course they yearly migration :‘The Great Migration” in the Masai Mara. During this migration about two miljon wildebeest, zebra and other plains game cross the rivers from the Serengeti to the Mara and back again, in search of fresh grass and water. During these crossings many animals do not make it across because they fall prey to crocodiles and leopards.
Day 9-14 Indische Ocean – private house at the beach.
After lunch, transfer to the airstrip for your flight to Malindi where you will arrive late afternoon. On arrival, you will be met and transfer to yoru private house follows. The next coming days you can enjoy the sunshine, the beach, the house and enjoy the tropical blue Indian Ocean. D
Wild Times has several stunning beach houses on offer, most of them have their own pool, and well trained staff such as a chef, so that you can relax.
Day 15
After lunch transfer to Malindi for your local flight back to Wilson airport and transfer to the International Airport for your flight back home.
