Program & Route:
Day 1 – Ubud, Hotel Nick’s Pension/ Beji Ubud Resort.
Upon arrival you will be transfered from Den Pasar to your hotel in Ubud.
Ubud is Bali’s artistic heart and the center of cultural events. Surrounded by a beautiful landscape it is easy to see where the artists find inspiration. This is a great place for finding special mementos with many small shops and galleries. For those wishing to know more about Balinese art; a visit to one of the local museums will be of great benefit. Cultural events such as ceremonies, dances and temple festivals occur frequently and you are always very welcome to observe. Ubud has many good restaurants where you can savour a range of foods from simple Balinese-style to sophisticated European dishes. Its surroundings are also lovely to explore as you will find out tomorrow.
Day 2 – Ubud, Hotel Nick’s Pension/ Beji Ubud Resort.
Today we start a beautiful cycling trip to the town of Klungkung. Near the coast the cycling is predominantly downhill. Close to Klungkung lunch is served at the home of a Balinese family. The lady of the house is an excellent cook and her specialty is Ayam Betutu, chicken cooked with Balinese spices.
After lunch we visit the palace of Klungkung and stop at Tenganan, a traditional Bali Aga village that produces the famous and valuable double ikat cloth.
Day 3 – Seminyak, Hotel Bali Agung Village / Villa Kresna.
Today you will be picked up by private car with your guide. Along the way you will make some nice stops which includes visiting the impressive Royal Temple of Mengwi Empire and the famous sea temple called Tanah Lot. This is one of the important directional temples in Bali, the temple is located on a rock just offshore. In the afternoon you arrive in your hotel in Seminyak. Rest of the day at leisure to enjoy its famous pristine beaches.
Day 4 & 5 – Seminyak, Hotel Bali Agung Village / Villa Kresna.
Free days to spend as you wish. There are also a number of amusement parks in the vicinity you can visit. It is possible to make an optional visit to the fun filled Waterbom Park. It is easy to spend a full day here, as there are many activities for children of all ages, as well as several restaurants and even a spa. Also very nice for all ages is a surfing lesson. In a few hours you learn the basics of surfing through the waves. It is nice to know that these lessons are given by a foundation that supports orphans on Bali.
Day 6 – Departure
Today you will be transferred to Den Pasar for your international flight back home after a lovely time in Bali.
